Anzac Bridge, Friday September 1st 2006.

Formerly known as the Glebe Island Bridge it was renamed on Remembrance Day in 1998 (two years after opening) in honour of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served in World War I. The Australian flag flies atop the eastern pylon while the New Zealand flag adorns the western one. A bronze statue of an ANZAC soldier serves as a memorial on the western end of the bridge.
